MUSICAL THEATRE DANCE WORKSHOPS!

Musical Theatre Dance Workshop

Best for Beginners-Limited Experience Ages 12-16
Taught by choreographer Christina Naficy
Date: Sunday March 23rd
Time: 11 AM-1 PM
Class Cost: $35

Best for Intermediate Experience Ages 16+
Taught by choreographer Christina Naficy
Date: Sunday March 23rd
Time: 2 PM-4 PM
Class Cost: $35

Join Tacoma Little Theatre and Parks Tacoma at Eastside Community Center for a wonderful dance workshop taught by noted South Sound choreographer Christina Naficy.  This 2 hour workshop will consist of running through some techniques and being taught a dance combination from the musical theatre world.  

Classes will be held at Eastside Community Center

Here's more about our guest choreographer.  

Christina Naficy is a professional dancer and choreographer.   Starting out as a ballet dancer and segueing into Musical Theatre. She trained at Ballet Arts Center, PNB, Westlake Dance Center,  ABT, Alvin Ailey, Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway.  She has studied multiple styles of dance besides Ballet and Jazz including Limon and Graham Techniques in Modern Dance,  Flamenco in Mallorca, Spain, Argentina Tango at Dancesport in New York with Santiago Steele, Belly Dance and Hungarian Folk Dance,  She had the good fortune to study with Anne Reinking for a summer Master Series to learn all the Fosse Repertoire at Steps on Broadway.  She did a Summer program at Alvin Ailey with Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson. She has performed all over New York and Seattle.  She was a Guest Artist/Soloist at New York Ballet and was the final Cabaret act at Danny's Starlight Room in NYC.   She began her Musical Theatre career here in Washington at Seattle Civic Light Opera, Tacoma Musical Playhouse, Village Theater, 5th Ave Theatre, and Seattle Opera.   She loves to share her years of experience and knowledge but most importantly, the joy and sheer fun of dancing.
