Tacoma Little Theatre is holding auditions for the first production of its 108th Season, Paul Slade Smith’s The Outsider. This production will be directed by Jed Slaughter.
Auditions will be held on Sunday, June 7th and Monday, June 8th at Tacoma Little Theatre (210 N I Street, Tacoma, WA 98403) and Tuesday, June 9th at STAR Center (3873 S 66th St, Tacoma, WA 98409). Audition appointments will be set starting at 6:00pm on Sunday and 7:00pm on Monday and Tuesday. Callbacks will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 11th at Tacoma Little Theatre. All actors must schedule their appointment using Casting Manager.
Ned Newley doesn’t even want to be governor. He’s terrified of public speaking, and his poll numbers are impressively bad. To his ever-supportive Chief of Staff, Ned seems destined to fail. But political consultant Arthur Vance sees things differently: Ned might be the worst candidate to ever run for office. Unless the public is looking for the worst candidate to ever run for office. A timely and hilarious comedy that skewers politics and celebrates democracy.
Anyone and Everyone is invited to audition for any production at Tacoma Little Theatre regardless of any physical attribute, gender, race, age, ability, body type, ethnicity, expressions, or experience.
Auditioners are asked to prepare one comedic monologue, no longer than two minutes.
All actors cast receive a travel reimbursement up to $200.00.
Once cast, The Outsider will begin rehearsals in early July. The production will run from August 28th-September 13th.
