Tacoma Little Theatre is holding auditions for its production of Alan Ayckbourn’s Bedroom Farce. This production will be directed by Micheal O’Hara.
Auditions will be held on Sunday, March 22nd and Monday, March 23rd at Tacoma Little Theatre (210 N I Street, Tacoma, WA 98403) and Tuesday, March 24th at STAR Center (3873 S 66th St, Tacoma, WA 98409). Audition appointments will be set starting at 6:00pm on Sunday and 7:00pm on Monday and Tuesday. Callbacks will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday, April 2nd at Tacoma Little Theatre. All actors must schedule their appointment using Casting Manager at the link below.
In this raucous 1975 comedy, Ayckbourn brilliantly blends farce and claustrophobia, confining the drama to three bedrooms over one endless Saturday night. Manipulating time and space, he explores the ups and downs of four marriages—older Delia and Ernest, their son Trevor and his wife Susannah, young Malcolm and Kate, and Trevor’s ex-girlfriend Jan and her husband Nick. As complications and revelations mount, relationships teeter on the edge, yet each character finds their own way forward. This fast-paced comedy revels in the absurdity of human relationships and the chaos they bring.
Anyone and Everyone is invited to audition for any production at Tacoma Little Theatre regardless of any physical attribute, gender, race, age, ability, body type, ethnicity, expressions, or experience.
Auditioners are asked to prepare two contrasting monologues of their choosing (not to exceed four minutes).
All actors cast receive a travel reimbursement up to $200.00.
Once cast, Bedroom Farce will begin rehearsals in mid-May. The production will run from July 10th to July 26th.
