The classic movie musical from the 1980’s bursts onto the live stage! When Chicago teenager Ren moves a small farming town, he isn’t prepared for the many changes from city life, including a ban on dancing. He befriends rebellious Ariel, who wants to escape from the strict rules of her father, Reverend Moore. When they ask the Town Council for permission to hold a Graduation Prom, the conflict between the town’s teenagers and parents grows, until they must choose sides between tradition and change.
Rocking with the popular songs of the Oscar-winning, Tony-nominated soundtrack, Footloose is a spirited and heartwarming story about family, growing up, and of course, dancing. This Club TLT Musical class offers unique opportunities for students, ages 13-18, to perform, design, and produce shows together with experienced instructors. Join us this summer as “Everybody Cuts Footloose!”
