Tacoma Little Theatre's Off the Shelf program is excited to present Aislinn Melchior’s, Empire of Venus. This production will play Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 7:30pm.
A professor of Classics for the past 20 years at the University of Puget Sound, Melchior was fascinated by Ovid's Latin and the vividness with which he described the misbehavior of the Roman gods. Love in his epic poem is more akin to hatred as the nymphs and princesses are often rendered silent by terror. In Melchior’s play, they speak, and Ovid grows in his understanding.
Empire of Venus features the talents of: Bonne-Vejou Dorell, EJ Crocker, Morgan RIvasplata, Emily Meyers, Heather Koch, and Aislinn Melchior.
Tickets for the February 1, 2024 performance at 7:30pm are $10.00 for non TLT Members, and FREE for Season Ticket/FLEX pass holders. Tickets may be purchased online at www.tacomalittletheatre.com, or by calling our Box Office at (253) 272-2281.

We know that there is a tremendous amount of wonderful theatre that deserves to be heard but sometimes just doesn’t get an opportunity. With “Off the Shelf”, local directors and actors will be bringing some scripts to life that we hope you will find entertaining, challenging and educational to our stage.
