STEPHANIE KROSCHEL, EDUCATION DIRECTOR

Stephanie grew up in the Olympia theatre community. Her beginning with theatre arts was through Creative Theatre Experience, first as a student in the program and eventually filling the roles of intern, acting teacher, costumer, director, leadership workshop director, and assistant technical director. Additionally, she served on the board of directors for Olympia Family Theatre as its first student representative at the age of 16. It was through performances with OFT that she discovered the joy of creating art for and with children. She is a certified teacher in Washington State, and has worked as a middle school(LWSD) and elementary school teacher(NTPS). When she worked in Lake Washington School District, she taught English and social studies but also worked with a team to provide after school theatre programming for middle school students to participate on stage and in technical theatre. She even taught improv classes for the drama club. It is Stephanie’s greatest hope to provide meaningful learning opportunities for all ages and to make space for creativity to flourish.

It is with great joy and enthusiasm that she joins the team at Tacoma Little Theatre in their work of providing high quality arts experiences for learners of all ages and backgrounds.
