Tacoma Little Theatre’s Board of Directors announced that they have accepted the resignation of Artistic Director, David Duvall. With a strong foundation and an eye toward taking our organization to the next level, it was agreed that this was a good time to make a leadership change.

It’s been more than a decade since David first came to TLT as musical director for “The Little Shop of Horrors.” During that time, David has made many contributions to the theatre prior to being named Artistic Director in 2007. More than 140 actors, production designers, directors and volunteers were involved over our 89th season which included productions such as “Auntie Mame,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” and “Colored Museum.” Working alongside new Education Director, Casi Wilkerson, David has overseen the development of an exciting and ambitious youth drama program, which continues to grow and thrive.

Tacoma Little Theatre is poised to have a strong year. We were named the “2008 Best Live Theatre in Tacoma” by the Tacoma Weekly Magazine for the second year in a row, which is a credit to our talented actors and volunteers. We have recently expanded the board of directors, and welcomed three new staff members:  Marketing & Development Director Tammy Fox, Box Office Manager Nellie Hartman, and Office Manager, Loralei Ives-Keeler. The board of directors has no doubt that our best years are still ahead of us.

Please join us in thanking David for his many contributions to our theatre over the past season. A new interim Artistic Director will be announced soon as well as our 90th anniversary season of productions.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Board Vice President, Marie Kelly, at marietjkelly@yahoo.com, or any of the TLT board members through the Box Office.
