Renee VeroneRENEE VERONE

Renee Verone was born in raised right here in the City of Destiny. She earned her BA from the University of Washington in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Ethnic, Gender and Labor Studies. She then earned her Masters of Art in Teaching from the University of Puget Sound. For the past five years she has taught Drama, English, Social Studies and Reading at Curtis Junior High in University Place School District. She has directed nine school productions with children from ages six through fifteen. Curtis Junior High productions include, Arsenic & Old Lace, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Taming of The Shrew. Renee began working as a volunteer at Tacoma Little Theater in January 2005, fell in love with the staff and students, and hasn't left. She will be teaching her first Young Performers Institute during the summer of 2005 debuting with the Shakespeare Master Class. In addition, Renee is the proud mother of a wonderful 9 year-old son with whom she spends countless hours camping, hiking, playing baseball, swimming, bowling, reading and discussing our favorite novels; attending Cub Scout activities, dinner parties and enjoying movie nights. WOW!
