TIM HOBAN
Tim Hoban was born and raised here in Tacoma. At the age of 4 he wanted to act. After a bit of soul searching, at the age of 26, he started. He was a founding member of Tacoma's first sketch comedy group THE TWILIGHT ZONE PLAYERS in 1982. He did his first play in 1984. Shortly afterwards he was introduced to Improv. In 1985 he began working in video - television, independent films, training videos, industrials and on the internet.
He has taught classes at TLT for a number of years. In between and among his acting he has: Spent a year working in the B&I glass shop; built railroad bridges for 16 years; went to the Jim Russell British School of Motor Racing at Laguna Seca; was a partner in Tacoma's first late night punk club, The Bedrock Lounge; built houses with his brother; got married, had a son and a daughter; quit everything to stay home with his kids. Everything but acting. He is an advisor to the Academy of International Education at their drama camp every summer. He writes. He volunteers at his children's schools. He has insomnia. He does the N.Y.Times crossword puzzle everyday. He does not have webbed feet. |
